QUOTE FOR TODAY - The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who intense football gamelook on and do nothing. - Albert Einstein

HOW TO REACH HIGH LEVEL OF SELF-AWARENESS (1)

There are many levels of awareness, from self-conscious to the oneness awareness.
You can determine if you are on high or low level of awareness by the results you are getting in life.
The better results you are getting, the higher your level of awareness is. If you want to get better results but cannot do that, it means that you are not aware of how you can achieve them.
Therefore by raising your level of awareness you will gain understanding of how to achieve better quality of life.
The only way to raise your level of awareness is by visualisation and by using mental faculties because this way you move to higher vibration and therefore attract things that are of higher vibration.
Going in circles
People usually want to have better results in life but they have no idea how to get them. They search for information in their external world and they get frustrated because it seems to them that they are going in circles, and they are.
They get the same results because they do not use their mental faculties. All they do is let their five basic senses guide them. So they operate on the same awareness level and cannot break through to higher awareness levels.
Now when I am writing about this, I remember that I experienced exactly the same. When my level of awareness was low, I kept searching for ways to work from home, and all I could find were the work from home scams.
This perfectly illustrates the fact that if your awareness is low you will only find knowledge and opportunities that are on the same awareness level.
However when I stopped searching for the answers in the external world and started really thinking of what I want to become, I started finding books and seminars that helped me to successfully start my first successful business.
So instead of looking for answers outside, use your mental faculties to gain knowledge because that's the only way you can progress in life.
Your mental faculties
In "Think and Grow Rich" Napoleon Hill mentions six faculties that you have to develop for you to achieve success. They are vitally important because they will give you all the tools you need to achieve any goal you want.
Successful people have highly developed mental faculties and they trust them more than the five basic senses that they have.
These faculties are:
1.Reason
Your reasoning faculty enables you to think. And by thinking I do not mean react, but really think. Use your own head and always think before accepting any opinions as truth. Think of the goals you really desire rather than those that someone else thinks would be good for you.
Masses are controlled by media and if you want to achieve better results, don't let the media control you. Don't watch negative information because what you watch will very likely determine what vibration you emanate and therefore what level of awareness you are on.
It is very unlikely that you will find any programme on TV or radio that would raise your consciousness level, so there is no point in spending your time this way. All they can do is lower your consciousness level. You are better off reading self-help books and articles that help you understand how to improve your life.
2.Will
Will is the ability to continuously direct your energy into one purpose. That's the best way I can describe it.
You can develop your will by looking at an object for a long period of time and not letting any thoughts let your mind wonder off. Look continuously at the same object and when you get thoughts, gently come back to the same object and don't pay attention to the thoughts that seek your attention. The longer you can focus on an object without the interruption of your thoughts, the stronger your will becomes.
You will need your will for visualisation because whilst visualising you should only see your desire without any interruptions.
3.Perception
Your perception determines how you see the world. You should understand that because of your experiences and beliefs you see the world in a different way than other people. Every single person sees the same world differently because they had different experiences in life.
You should understand that your perception can be wrong, and it almost always is wrong. Don't let your perception deceive you, try to look at any situation without any strong opinions. The same applies to viewing people. You should not judge people. They are the same as you. We are all one.
4.Memory
This is also a very important mental faculty. Anyone can develop perfect memory. And it can serve a lot of good. However most people use their memory to their disadvantage. It just depends on you what you choose to remember. You can remember your past achievements or past failures, it is only for you to choose.
5.Intuition
This faculty gives you an ability to read energies of other people. Everyone has such an ability but the more you use it, the more you can develop it.
By reading energy I mean picking up on the mood or the attitude of a person, also being able to tell if the person is lying. I can pick up on a negative, positive, successful, confused and dull energy. I am trying to develop this faculty as much as I can because it can be used in so many ways.
It is very hard to describe how you can feel others' energies. It is as though some feeling from that person touches you and you feel what the person is about.
When the person has no strong opinions (which is a good thing) you can pick up very light energy, as though that person is neutral. That means that the person does not have any beliefs about you and does not judge you. When you pick up strong uncomfortable vibration, it means that the person has many limiting beliefs and looks at everyone from a strong ego viewpoint.
I hope you now understand a bit better about how to pick up on and interpret different energies of people.
When you communicate with a person, rather than listening to every single sentence, try to feel the energy that person emanates. This way you will be able to really see what the person is trying to convey to you and whether the person is hiding something from you or lying to you.
6.Imagination
This is one of the most important faculties you have. Through imagination you are able to manifest your desires. The more you develop your imagination, the clearer your vision about your desires will be and the quicker you will manifest your desires.

A LITTLE OFFICE HUMOR

I have always tried to incorporate a measure of humor in my business life. I can remember many stressful afternoons when nothing seemed to go right—and then someone said something that's witty and clever. If it didn't make me laugh, it at least made me smile. More importantly, I felt my shoulders relax, the frown on my face disappear, and my soul return to a somewhat normal disposition. I felt better about life in general. I'm not sure, but I suspect the folks in the office liked the new relaxed Leo a lot better too.

The Bible talks a lot about joy, but little about humor, at least in the sense that we think of humor. I feel confident that Jesus laughed. But we don't know for sure because the Bible is unclear on the point. I hear many folks claim laughter is mentioned both in the Old Testament and the New Testament—and it is, but not as a form of entertainment. I can't envision Moses telling Pharaoh jokes, or Simon Peter starting a sermon with, "A funny thing happened on the water the other day."
However, without a doubt, the Bible talks about joy. Proverbs 17:22 seems to be the best example and the one most often used: "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." In Galatians 5:22-23, Paul tells us that joy is one of the fruits of the spirit—"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
Joy and laughter are gifts from God that help us refocus. Worry can make us paranoid and selfish, while joy and laughter encourage creativity. Stress drains our souls, while joy and laughter fill them. Joy never requires long periods of joke telling. It doesn't require a comedy script. In a crazy day of buzz-saw events, one witty statement can make us smile and put things in perspective. That's all it takes. Isn't that amazing?
I like to encourage laughter in the workplace. Our daily work can be serious business, and sometimes we demonstrate leadership by knowing when and how to break the tension of a hard day. But a little joy, a little laughter also remind us that our problems are only temporary. There will be something brighter in the future. In his book, Whistling in the Dark, Frederick Buechner writes: " 'Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh,' Jesus says. That means not just that you shall laugh when the time comes but that you can laugh a little even now in the midst of weeping because you know that the time is coming. All appearances to the contrary notwithstanding, the ending will be a happy ending. That is what the laughter is about. It is the laughter of faith."

HAVE PASSION IN YOUR LIFE

Passion is intense feeling, strong excitement, strong affection, love, intense desire and enthusiasm. You can have passion for anything or anyone. We all have a basic need to feel passion.

In other words, passion or being passionate is the fire in our eyes, in our bodies and in our lives that drives us forward--whether it's for our work, our hobbies, or for our relationships.

When people lose passion or fire in their lives or in their relationships, you can sure tell it. They go through their lives as if they are on auto-pilot and the joy just seems to have leaked out of them.

When people have passion for life or their relationships, you can also see it and feel it, even if they are quiet about it. Having passion is a way of living every moment of your life to its fullest.

Whether you are waiting in line at the bank, helping your children with homework or talking with your partner, a co-worker or family member—when you have and are living your life with passion, your heart is open to experiencing the joys of connecting with others or even with yourself.

To us, having passion means being truthful, being both powerful and vulnerable, having a willingness to stay and go deeper, taking responsibility for creating what we want in our lives, being open and allowing inner radiance to shine through--and of course being open to connecting with others, as well as with ourselves.

Our list could go on and on and you would probably have other ways of defining what it means to you that would also work-- but you get the idea.

What we have discovered is that when it comes to having and feeling passion, you know when you have it and you also know when you don't.

Having passion can mean many things in your life and your relationship. We invite you to decide what you are passionate about having in your life and then be open to doing what you need to do to keeping it that way.

ARE YOU PRODUCTIVE?

Do you ever find yourself challenged by the day-day lists of life projects, tasks, priorities and to-do's? To-Do's, finances, getting things done and feeling overwhelmed have become a common theme.

Overwhelm will leave you feeling drained and feeling like you'll never catch up. My own feeling of overwhelm shows up as tension in my shoulders, like I'm carrying a heavy knapsack of boulders on my back. And when it gets really bad I find I'm barely breathing and feel a little frantic. Now, as a normal, busy, responsible person, you may have to accept that overwhelm is just a part of hectic life, but I'm here to sing you a new tune and offer a few tips to get you out of the doldrums and back into a bit more calm. Read on if you're in need of some new options to dealing with your overwhelm.

Tip #1: Step Back. Re-Group

Re-grouping is something I've been doing off and on for the past year. It's a weekly 30-minute practice during which you connect to your intentions, remind yourself of your goals, and get crystal clear on your priorities. Take a few moments, and look at the week ahead. List your top 3 priorities (not your 20 to-do's), get clear on appointments and schedule your activities into your day timer or scheduler - put in time for workouts, writing time, rest time. This one tip alone will help you get back on track. Why? Because it weeds out the unimportant stuff and keeps a bit of momentum going. It also gives you clarity and doesn't leave room to overlap, overbook and to take more on. Even if you stray from task, this better than having no plan and feeling overwhelmed!

Tip#2: Breakdown projects into tasks

As an inspired entrepreneur, I have been guilty of taking on more than I can chew and have often set unrealistic deadlines for myself. This usually has left me feeling deflated and yet again - overwhelmed. The solution: get clear on your tasks vs. your projects. A task is a to-do. A project is a Mammoth task that can easily make you want to run and hide. Break your projects into tasks during your re-grouping session and set realistic deadlines. Prioritize them. This will be sure to reduce your overwhelm by at least 75%!

Tip#3: Indulge in the euphoria of completion

I've been known to make my client's set their weekly goals so small that they laugh and think I'm letting them off the hook. Or, I'll ask if they think they're goals are unrealistic and need to be reviewed. The reason for this is that when you maintain a sense of completion, it keeps you motivated and inspired to continue on. When you keep glancing at the list of 80 To-Do's in one week, it's sure to make you feel overwhelmed and burnt out. This solution will give you permission to acknowledge your completion so that you can revel in your productivity! It's like a boost of anti-oxidants to your immune system!

Tip#4: Use a timer (I've come to love mine!)

I'm sure you're thinking "right, like I need this." Just give it a try and you'll be amazed at how fast time flies! It's become my own boss! It forces me to act with speed, get over my gremlins of having something completed perfectly and it allows me to get more accomplished. It's a simple structure that has given me added benefits. When the clock is running you'll be less tempted to answer the phone, return emails or run down and change the laundry over.

Tip#5: Set realistic expectations

More than not I find many of my client's setting enormous expectations for themselves. And in most cases these are unrealistic. It's great to be inspired and moved to take action on your endeavors. But before you get going to the races, define a realistic date and marker for yourself based on your own circumstances. Stop comparing yourself to others. Take a look at your entire life and determine your path based on your own situation.

ARE YOU INTERESTED OR COMMITTED?

"There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it is convenient. When you're committed to something you accept no excuses, only results." -Ken Blanchard - Author

So you've set yourself a clear goal or intention. For example, you have decided to improve your fitness level. So you set an intention to go to the gym twice a week. Things start off well and you get to the gym 2 times a week for the first two weeks. You're making progress and then...

Life gets in the way!

You have to work longer hours or you're too busy and too tired to exercise. Your actions become inconsistent and progress towards your goal stops. You get frustrated and wonder why achieving your goal is so hard to do.

Here's the thing...

Once you have set a goal or intention then you have to make a 100% commitment to that outcome if you really want it to happen. Not 50% or 60% or 90%

100% commitment or bust!

Here's what 100% commitment looks like:

* If you are committed to your goal then there are no excuses, only results
* You have discipline - It's just part of your daily practice
* It's a done deal
* You've made the decision - you're committed to making it happen
* You don't have to think about it anymore. The decision has been made - you're doing it
* There is no debate in your head
* Life is easier and you have focus
* This is not negotiable
* You observe the boundaries you've made to make this happen
* You turn up every day despite obstacles and not feeling like it no matter what the circumstances

Here's what just being interested looks like:

* You do it inconsistently - only when you remember or 'feel like it'
* You can find excuses NOT to do it
* You wake up each morning fighting the voices in your head over whether to 'do it' today or 'not' or 'I'll start it tomorrow'
* You make excuses during the day to justify your lack of commitment to this goal. "I haven't got the time." "It's not my fault." "I should have..." "I'm too tired." "I deserve a day off."
* You make hesitant attempts to start but easily give up
* You're still fighting with the decision even though you've already made it
* You (and the committee in your head) debates the topic over and over
* You feel frustrated because you know what you should do, you just don't do it!

The truth is that if you're only interested in your goal then realistically you're not going to achieve it.

Successful people really commit to their intentions. How much do you really WANT yours?

It's got to be 100% commitment!

YOUR LIFE'S MISSION

Your life's mission goes beyond making a living. It's deeper, stronger and more compelling than a day-to-day grind.

~ Your life's mission is your burning desire to make a difference.

~ A life's mission isn't only a career. It can be a hobby, a vocation or a pastime. Your mission in life is manifested when you nurture and foster the special talents that make you unique and special.

~ A true life's mission never dies, no matter the challenges or setbacks. When you're living a life's mission you have a burning desire that won't allow you to give up. A mission is like a dream that doesn't go away, it keeps coming back to remind you again and again.

~ A life's mission comes from the soul. It's emotional and spiritual. You know in your heart that it's right.

~ Your life's mission is a part of your value and belief system. For example, if you believe your mission is to help people, you will be miserable doing anything that contradicts that core belief.

~ Living your life's mission is fun. You owe it to yourself to make your life enjoyable. Life shouldn't be a struggle. If it is, you're battling something inside. Your values and beliefs are in conflict with what you're doing with, or in, your life.

Desiring Success

Success means investing time, energy and money into motivating yourself to reach your full potential and live out your life's mission. Your desire for success must be compelling!

Success can mean different things to different people. Success is not only measured by money or material possessions; it is an inner knowing, peace and self-satisfaction.

How do you develop the passion and desire to succeed?

1. Convince yourself that you can and will succeed. It's easier and safer to tell yourself that you can't do something than risk failure. The only failure is not trying at all. Success is a choice.

2. Consciously focus on what you want. Make workable and rewarding goals for yourself. When you accomplish a goal or task, reward yourself. Acknowledge all the achievements.

3. Take one day at a time. It'll only feel overwhelming when you lose sight of all the baby steps you'll need to take before reaching a major goal. The majority of successes aren't achieved by leaps and bounds, but in working your plan one step at a time.

4. Stretch yourself, but don't break. Aim high enough to motivate and excite, but not so high that you become paralyzed with fear. Stretch yourself enough so you're constantly growing and experiencing new things.

Leave your mind open and receptive to all the possibilities.

Passion, desire and enthusiasm are essential for lasting success. If you don't have a well thought out purpose for all of your excitement, it becomes a waste of valuable energy.

Your life's mission is the glue holding your desire, enthusiasm, energy and persistence in place.

FORGIVE AND . . . MOVE ON (2)

What have you struggled to forgive in your relationship? Do you wish you could forgive and move on, but you don’t know how?

When two people live together in an intimate relationship, there are always going to be things that happen to cause hurt feelings and anger. These things may range from minor incidents involving slights and lack of consideration to major ones such as sexual betrayal.

It’s all-too-easy to develop the habit of repeatedly replaying all the wrongs a spouse has committed and then to start feeling victimized. Resentment, blame, anger, and bitterness are heavy burdens that hold us back, weight us down, and keep us stuck in a view of ourselves as victims.

Forgiving a spouse does not mean that you avoid or repress your feelings. On the contrary, it’s important that you acknowledge your pain and loss so that you can express your feelings, get them out into the light of day, and let them run a natural, healing course.

“Certainly others are to blame for their mistakes,” write John Gray, “but they are not to blame for our feelings. To forgive is to release another from being responsible for how we feel. By finding forgiveness, we are then free to let go of our pain. Although it is true that our partner may make us feel upset, we must also recognize that we have the power to let go of our pain.”

Gray also states, “By feeling gratitude for the good times and forgiveness for the mistakes, the heart is filled with the love it needs to heal itself.” Viewed this way, forgiveness releases the toxins of resentment and blame and allows the heart to recover.

Each spouse faces the same choice: Do I hang on to my feelings of hurt and pain or do I forgive my partner? For some spouses, the decision to forgive is viewed as letting a partner off the hook and minimizing the damage the partner has done.

It’s as though they don’t want the partner to see them laughing and having fun because then the partner might not suffer as much emotionally. Thus, the reluctance to forgive can be a way of keeping control and making sure that the partner keeps feeling guilty and miserable over what has happened.

When you feel deeply hurt by your spouse’s words or actions, it takes time to recover from the wound. It’s important to clearly state your feelings to your spouse and to share just how much the words or actions have impacted you. It’s also important to consider whether the deed was one caused inadvertently by lack of awareness or lack of knowledge or if it was deliberate.

To forgive a spouse is not the same as minimizing hurtful or harmful behavior. It’s also not about pretending things are fine when they aren’t. The goal is not to flash a fake smile and say “That’s okay” when you’re feeling like you’ve been stabbed in the heart.

But there’s a major difference between feeling hurt and struggling to regroup for a few weeks or months versus still being consumed with anger, resentment, and bitterness a year later. The longer the wound festers, the worse it gets.

How Do You Know When It’s Time to Forgive?

The following statements may help you to recognize if you’re ready to forgive and let go:

You forgive when you have a stronger desire to move toward health, healing, and wholeness than you do to keep singing your “She did me wrong” or “Poor Me” theme songs.

You forgive when you are tired of being stuck in the emotional and spiritual desert of despair, anger, bitterness, revenge, and resentment.

You forgive when you realize that your negative emotions are destroying your sense of spiritual connection, your peace of mind, your health, and your ability to laugh, play, and enjoy life.

You forgive when you realize that not only are you suffering, but your resistance to forgiving your spouse is also causing anguish to your children and other family members.

You forgive when you realize that you are no longer able to live in the present moment and to be totally emotionally available when you are with your family members and friends because you are constantly thinking about the past.

You forgive when you want to move on with your life and restore peace and harmony to your marriage and life.

How Do You Forgive?

Forgiveness is a process. Mary Nurries Stearns writes, “We make the decision to forgive, again and again. Saying words of forgiveness is the first step. Reciting the words creates an opening and willingness, and moves us into a body, heart, mind, spirit process of remembering and releasing.” She continues:

“We begin by letting go of our unforgiving stance. We acknowledge the events and feelings that really happened. We admit that the past cannot be changed. However, through healing, we can leave those yesterdays in the past and create a better tomorrow.

“Realizing that forgiveness is our own personal journey, we release expectations that others will respond to our work, even though each person’s healing has positive rippling effects. While journaling, drawing, dancing, breathing, and talking, we face whatever our body, heart, spirit, and mind present next for our healing. Through these processes, we begin relating differently to our suffering.

“We don’t hold back. We gently swathe our pain with love. We allow thoughts and feelings to arise into awareness where they are recognized and permitted to pass on through. Setting aside sacred time daily, we pray and meditate on forgiveness, and we commune with the divine. And we trust—knowing that grace and a great wisdom are embracing our efforts.”

Some individuals feel a dramatic shift when they decide to forgive a spouse, and for others, forgiveness entails releasing anger and resentment in smaller bits over a longer time. But the important thing is to make a beginning before the weight of the negative feelings pulls you under. Make an appointment to talk to a minister or a counselor if you are stuck and can’t move forward.

When you forgive, you open a door that was not open before. This door leads to a field of possibilities for a new kind of relationship with your spouse.

Regardless of how your partner reacts, you are changed by the act of releasing and forgiving. You are holding your spouse in a different kind of heart space—a space where anything is possible, where relationships can be transformed and where love can reveal itself in unexpected new ways.
